 Wayne Burgoine

 OO-CAMHS Trainer

Wayne is a Senior Clinical Psychologist and Team Manager for the Bairnsdale and Sale CAMHS teams which are based in the rural and remote regions of Victoria in Australia. As the lead clinician in such a huge geographical area, he is focused on finding innovative ways to support the mental health and well-being of the young people who live across this region. After working for over 6 years in UK CAMHS teams in Lincolnshire, he emigrated to Australia in July 2011, and he is now bringing some of the new and innovative ideas that were developed with the UK teams to the other side of the planet. In particular, he is still working with the OO-CAMHS research team in Lincolnshire, not only to support the development of the new model in the UK, but also to help to show its applicability to the Australian clinical populations too. He would welcome any contact with other clinicians or researchers in Australia who also share these interests and/or deliver CAMHS services in rural and remote areas.
